04 450r questions

I just bought a 04 450r and am needing you guys to answer a couple of questions for me.

This thing didn't have a manual with it so i have no idea how much oil to use during an oil change.Also what oil are you guys using....Klotzmx4,Motul,Honda hp4?

After riding it a few times i also want to change the front sprocket 1 tooth lower.How many teeth does the stock sprocket have?

This was my 1st time riding the 450r and i must say it was love at 1st ride!Now i wish i had bought 2 years ago!

I just run regular honda gn4 through it. The stock front is 14 teeth so go to a 13.

run the honda synthr=etic oil. it wokrs the best. if your looking for aftermark parts for your 450 hit me up. im selling everything.

out of the 2004-2005 Honda TRX450R sevice manual:

ENGINE OIL:

after draining 0.78 liter (0.82 U.S. qt, 0.67 lmp qt)
after filter chainge 0.82 liter (0.87 U.S. qt, 0.72 lmp qt)
after dissassembly 1.20 liter (1.27 U.S. qt, 1.06 lmp qt)

TRANSMISSION OIL:

after draining 0.55 liter (0.58 U.S. qt, 0.48 lmp qt)
after dissassembly 0.65 liter (0.69 U.S. qt, 0.57 lmp qt)

what i did was bought a plastic measuring cup that measured up to one liter. the increments on the side where mila liters. that means that one liter is 1000 milaliters. this makes it easy when measuring how much oil to put in.

EX: if changing motor oil after a filter change you need 0.82 liters. 0.82 liters is equal to 820 ml. just fill the mesuring cup up in between the 800 and 850 mark and you got it. ( i alwase rounded the oil mesurment up to the next closest mark)

hope that helps and remember to change all the oil often to have a long and easy motor life.
