Little Black Button on Mikuni Carb?

On my 87 230s quadsport there is a black button on the carb you can push in and pull out but i don't know what it does. Maybe it has something to do with choke, but there is already a choke lever. :confused:

The zuki has 2 choke levers you pull the black one out to start on good days. If it doesn't start without it, that is. If it does then on cold days use both choke mechanisms. I had a 230 for about 4 years.

dose it look like this?...if you pull it out and it go's in WHEN YOU LET GO OF IT(spring) then it's a primer..just like on a lawn mower :D
