i put a new +1 burgard steering stem on my quad about 3 months ago. Im now experiencing slop in the top bushing. I can move it back ond forth about 3/16 of an inch total. Maybe justa a little less, but it def seems like too much. I think that the top bushing wore out? Has anyone else experienced this problem? I think it should have lasted longer than that.

Did you use greese? Stems will wear also. Take it apart and see whats wore out. Heck the bolts might be loose.

the burgard stem on a 450r isnt right. They come with a Thicker(400ex) bushing. Did u put it in ??

I think the previous post is correct. Burgard uses the 250r stem size that is smaller.

You also have to let companies like Precision know before your order a steering dampner.

My Burgard is doing the same thing after about two months. I used the bushing they supplied.

I've had a Rath Racing stem since January and have quite few hours on my quad already. Mine isn't sloppy at all. All the stuff Rath Racing sells is top notch. I am always surprised he isn't more well known.

i havent fixed my problem yet. Im debating on getting a new bushing or making a new one at work. Im not sure what thier bushing is made from but we have some real good plastic material that they make bushings with alot, so i was thinking bout trying that. I kinda got used to the slop, but it bothers me when i notice it.

The OEM 450r bushing wear out just as fast. We have an 06 that moves and an 04 with a new bushing that still moves
