i need info on a 1986 suzuki 250r...

well i think thats what it is...i dont kno mch about it

im positive its an older model suzuki 250-2 stroke and thats about it, also that this model was only made for one year-at least thats what was told to me.

well i need to kno what kind of piston it needs cuz i have to replace it, im told that currently it has a yamaha piston in it for reasons unknown to me.

im VERY new to atving...if any1 could help, it would be MUCH appreciated.

take it to a small engine mechanic and he will measure the bore and tell you what you need, if it has a yamaha piston in it dont use that type and use a lt250r piston.

here it is, its a 1986 lt250r as u said. it should not have a yamaha pistion because it would not run right. the lt250r was made from 1985-1992. the 1985-86 are differnt from the 87-90, the 91-92 are the best years becuse of the motor is power valved. the 85-86 have weak swingarms. the frame of a 85-86 is differnt from a 87-92 aand so is the swingarm. for the motor bring it to a suzuki dealer and have them make it right. it should ba a great quad once done and done right. vary fast so be careful.

back in the day (though i thought it was actualy in the 90's before they started doing it) suzuki was putting yamaha pistons in their factory 250's and somehow word got out and people went nuts putting yamaha pistons in all of their suzuki's though im not sure if anyone actualy even had a reason to do it...
