does anyone have a detailed list of parts that will interchange to the trx 250r. example;450r/300ex front rotors on to the 250r and etc. several of us are looking for a true list of parts and not GUESS's. i know that with very little mods i installed the 400ex spindle, rotor and brake on to the 250r. i think everyone with and R can use this information.

You could do a search, or look at the sticky at the top of the forum. Or go here, it shows how to convert brakes over to 450r set-up, which is much better that 400EX.

HEY! do I know you? :)

someone made a post that has all the part numbers for a 450r/250r swap. its thumb tacked on the main 250r page.

thanks, but that post is only for the rear brake. which is very good, but, what i am interested in is ALL of the conversions available.

what swing arm will mount to the 250r, and with what mods?
what a-arms will mount up?
what shocks will fit the front or the rear?
what bearing can be used from late models to the 250r.?

all of this type of information.

i have found detailed pages on lt250s and etc., i just have not found detailed info for the 250r.

as parts start getting harder to find, it would be nice to have an other source.

It is best to use a 250R swingarm on a 250R frame.

400EX a-arms will fit but you will have to shim them.

450R and 400EX front shocks fit. YFZ shocks might fit.

The rear shock uses a different linkage so modifications will be
needed to fit a non-250R shock on a 250R frame (sometimes it's as simple as grinding the shock down to fit the linkage)

400EX and 250R use the same axle carriers, EVertything else is different.

Unless you are looking to build an OEM project, 250R parts are not as scarce as you think. You can get a brand new set of A-arms for $500 (sometimes less). Swingarms are readily available. Bearing kits are readily available. Aftermarket shocks can be found everywhere.

The search engine on this site works really good so you might want to try it out!!
