if i go down 1 tooth on my front sprocket do i need to do anything to my back one?

going down on the front sprocket will give you more bottom end if you leave the rear sprocket the same.

ok. thanks just what i wanted. but also will I be able to use my same chain and back sprocket without doing anything to them?

as long as the chain and rear sprocket are in good condition you don't need to change them.

depends on how much wear there is on the chain and back sprocket. the new sprocket will wear fatser if your chain is worn

Just don't forget to tighten your chain up some, i forgot to on mine and when i got out it started slippin some had to make a stop at a buddies house and tighten it up, good as new now.
