Convert Video Files

I need to convert a wmv file to another format so my dvd burner will reconize it. Does anyone know a program that does this?

They block the download here at work but from what I've read it should do the job. Converts Windows Media Video to MP3 or .wav format. Application seems fairly intuitive. Good luck.
