Well after some constructive criticism I tore my R down and rebuilt it. Thanks to those on this site that contributed parts it has the following:

Lonestar Frame
Lonestar Arms +2
Lonestar Bar Clamp
Duncan Racing Steering stem clamp
Roll Design stem
Pro Taper Bars
ASV lever, another to come
No link rear swingarm
Walker Evans/Fox rear shock
TCS front Shocks
Duncan Bumper
Quadtech hood
CT330 motor
ESR TRX5 pipe
38mm Mikuni
Lonestar Carrier
Lonestar Axle
Durablue rear hubs

And a bunch more that I'm sure I forgot about...

All the PC and paint was done by me.

I still need to put on the new chain, give it a alignment and put on the right side radiator shroud.

I also used a complet stainless chassis kit and am completely suprised at how nice an complete a kit it is.

Nice bike, you should get some respect now. Sometimes constructive criticism is good and bad, but its looks like it helped you with yours haha. :D

Yeah, I know what your are saying about the hoods... That's why I kept the stock one, it is in mint condition, just in case I want to switch back...I still have mixed feelings about it but all my other quads have had them, bad habits die hard!! LOL!!!

The CRF was probably easier to lug around and still be fast on, but I grew up on 2 strokes. I used to race 125's then a Blaster and finally a KX250 so I know how to keep them on the pipe and controlled.

I like the R better for the nimbleness, responsiveness and 2 stroke hit. The R turns better, feels lighter and just seems to suit my riding style better.

A major plus to the R is the maintenance intervals and simplicity. A CRF powered quad needs constant valve adjustments (costly if you don't have a shim kit), overheats easily when lugging the motor on trail rides or with slow people (even with the AFCO twin pass radiator). R's respond much better to mods in the horsepower department as well.

Lets face the new technology is good, but why is it that a 20 year old frame design is still what is duplicated to this day. Also I have a feeling the even the top pro's would be riding 2 strokes even to this day if they could get the EPA and Factory backing.

Thanks for the support everyone,

Josh
