what does repacking do to my 400ex?

u wont loose any power repacking can only help u it cant hurt u.

If your pipe is hollow sounding, it will make it quieter and sound better.

with certain pipes as the packing burns out u lose power. re-packing might help u re-gain a little lost power

The power core four IS repackable, but I wouldn't do it unless it is hollow sounding. No need to waste money.

packing is what $15 maybe deppending on what/where u get it from rocky mouintain have fmf muffler specific packing.
