On mine I have to run a rubber piece from the carb to the aluminum sleeve and then the K&N mounts there.

I had trouble with mine. I finally got it on but then it kept wiggling loose. I just put the stock box on with a k&N filter, outerwares, and duncan air box rings. I noticed no loss in power and am more happy with the stock box. Also my esr kit came with a cheap K&N wanna-be filter. It wasn't a true K&N.

I wish I could use the stock airbox But I got a centermount pipe so That is kinda out of the picture I got the ghetto pvc connecting the stock boot to the filter hopefully it is temporary

just get a carb mount K&N filter, u can order them right from there sight, then get a water proof outer whares, the piece of tube esr sends does nothing, i dont know why they dont go to a tru carb mount filter.

i did this on a blaster and have stuff speced to do it on my project R.
