my 250r has an fmf pipe vforce reeds, keihen 38 pwk carb with cr250 intake conversion kn filter porting and is a 305cc big bore

the problem is it wont idle, it runs great but it likes to die at idle because its so low, do they make an idle kit? it has a 250 dollar tune job so i dont wanna tweak any thing, but i hate it when it dies bekause it has 200ibs of compression and its a real b- to start. thanks for any help, Alex

Doesn't that carb have an idle screw? It will not effect the performance to turn up the idle.

I had the same problem on my R. On mine if you just touched the throttle ever so slightly it would idle nice, but if not, it would die out. I think the throttle cable wasn't set right, but just turn up the idle like wyndzer said, it won't hurt anything. You really shouldn't let it idle for long periods of time anyway, you'll foul plugs like it's your job. Just stay on the gas man...:devil

should be a pretty big black screw, it's plastic, it's the choke and the idle screw. It sticks straight up on the left side as your sitting ont the quad.
