Well after getting out of my money pit 03 cobra, it seems like I just can't leave crap alone. I wanted an ALL stock 400ex at a good price, just something I could put around on. I'm already buying crap for it, so what the hell, it's gotta be cheaper than spending money on the car (I wish that was the case, this stuff is pricey :eek2: ).

Anyway, I am looking at powdercoating all metal parts a flat black color, and also putting on flat black wheels. I want to keep the yellow plastics.

Does anyone have pictures? I searched, and it came up with 3 pages, nothing of which I was looking for.

Thanks,
Steve

I think the flat black and yellow would look really good. the only problem I would have with it is the flat will hold dirt and mud better and would be harder to clean up. Especially that little dirt film after you wash.

Got any pics of your Cobra? I have a 93 GT with a 351 Cleveland swap and I Admin a Mustang board. If youre interested, shoot me a PM and I'll give you the address. there are lots of good people there who know thier stuff and its real laid back.

Heres a couple of pics of my stang.

SO that I don't have to go copy and pasting, here was the ebay ad...I must have literally 10,000 pictures of the car, 3 different sets of wheels, lowered/vs stock, all kinds.

I'm on a bunch of forums, so you might have seen my car/me posting anyway.

WOW!!! :eek2: Thats a nice ride with some impressive numbers. I hope you find what youre looking for in the 400. I just got mine and it already had the work done to it when I got it. Its a 416 with a stage II cam and full HMF exhaust, K&N filter w, no lid and was re jetted to match the other work. With a light rider and good tires it will outrun the 450 on a drag race yet its manageable enough to trail ride with. I absolutely love it and Im glad I got it.

Bossman, I really want to keep it as close to stock as possible  . I would have bought a 450r if I was all about going faster on the 4 wheeler. I just ordered the HMF slip-on and have a twin air filter, with appropriate jetting. I specifically wanted a stock 4 wheeler so I would keep it stock  so much for that!

I hear ya man. Stock would without a doubt be much more reliable but the bug will hit you. :D Black would deffinately look good with the yellow. I wanted to have my frame and suspension goodies powdercoated honda blue but there are a few people that sport these colors so Im thinking about keeping the red plastics and going with yellow powdercoating. IDK, just kicking around ideas really.

I don't know if I like the red+yellow combo, too lego-ish :huh

Does anyone else have pictures of flat black on yellow? If not, I'll be posting in another 6 months. I'm definately going to go through with this, but most likely not untill early winter (too cold to ride, and no snow time, probably around november). However, I am going to order the hiper carbons (black on black) within the next week. Does anyone know who has the best deal on some good front shocks?
