Wow i got it on Friday rode it friday and saturday and raced it Sunday what a break in huh

ohh wel i got 4th in 4-stroke B all I had on it was a derisi linkage and ims bumper

i like it so far but got to get the normal stuff and suspension by derisi an stabilizer and other stuff

nice derisi suspention is nice i go to the shop about every other day and get parts hes a super nice guy and wont screw up your shocks i personally have is shocks all around and i ride mx they will take a 30ft flatlanding so your making the rite choice and if you get some money santo will get you a hmf at a deal

dont worry about them, the 06 is a whole lot better then the 04-05's, and the 07 isnt any different. its a great quad!

Yep, newer and prolly about $800 bucks more expensive just so you can say you have an 07 with no changes. That is realllly worth it. :rolleyes:

nice ride u got there man..... i wish i could afford a brand new 06 , or used for that matter but i cant... i dont want to jack ur thread but i want to ask a quick question. i will not be racing all the time, just every once in a while. it'll mostly be riding the trails, the fire roads, and the dunes at the creeks, but i go to the mx track here about twice a month. so should i wait and try to get a used 06 or will a 05 be fine?

k thanks bro.... thats a sweet ride u got there though i'd like to have one exactly like it myself. i like the e-buttons on the 06, but i had a friend borrow a 05 450r this weekend to ride and he was nice and let me rode it and it felt good.... and like i said im not gonna race all the time, i'll run the beginner class for a while, and work my way up. but i dont have a problem kicking the 05 450r to start, it only took 1 kick and i wasnt even kicking that hard. but thanks for the help, and sorry if i jacked your thread.

but i am getting a denton steering stabilizer, i am getting gncc fronts and my brother is giving me his rear tires xc's "itp" and he is getting my xcr's from my 400ex and i am not sure abou the hipers yet but i think i am getting moose skid plates and handlebars

and i also have powermadds msr clutch lever and perch so i hope i am set for the next race

i have more than enough power i drag raced an 05 that had gt thunder pipe suspension, i razr tires, hrc kit, jetting, air filter and thats all i know of

and i beat him about 1 length if not more one of the times

yea i know that 06's are alot faster than the 05's, but im not about drag racing though, it's never been my cup of tea. i'm more into something that handles good, thats reliable, and gets to its top end quick... but i just rode an 05 about 2 hours ago and its plenty fast for me. but i was just wondering should i keep saving for the 06. but im gonna go with a good used 05. i need to save the extra money for the truck i gotta start paying for next summer. so i want to hurry up and get the 450 so i dont worry about it while im paying for the truck. but thanks for the help man. and tell me how u like those derisi shock rebuild, im prolly gonna look into that when i get mine.

Go for the hipers. Ive went through 3 sets of rear rims this season I just bought a set. I know its dirty lol

yea deff find you a set of cheap handle bars it makes a world of diffrence hahaa shuda got a 07 so you could say its a 07 haha nice bike you did the rite thing what does it matter he need a bike to race he just happened to need one now haha but you shoulda bought a yahmahmmer jk i luv both bikes so nice bike

iam getting moose handlebars allready got spider grips and powermadds and msr clutch and perch to go on the handlebars

Very few things are similar on the entire bike. As far as engines and why the 06 is faster, they are competely different inside and out. Even the cases are different. Inside the engine, you have a larger bore, shorter stroke, higher compression piston, etc.... then outside you have a better carb (FR), better flowing exhaust, larger intake/ airfilter set-up with a redesigned air box, new gearing internally and on the chain/ sprocket, and if I am not mistaken a new CDI. Amongst other things LOL.

for the woods, i've heard to drop down to a 13 or maybe even 12 tooth in the front. i race my '06 for MX and i doubt that i could stand that high of gearing in the woods.

450r is the kickstart version where as the ER is electric start. I wanted kick but they said they wouldn't be in for a while. I went with the ER and I am very happy with it. I doubt I will put the kicker on, but I still may do it anyway.:devil:

i will be there i am goin to Helen friday for vacation/race and staying at the Country inn and Suites for 2 nights probably goin tubing saturday and mabye putt-pt and indoor go cart racing ( the real stuff):D
