I was wondering if you can put a 350X oil cooler on a 300ex? would it be cheaper and better then a FST oil cooler?

What I did was just cut the lines that hook up to the oil cooler, then cut the lines that hook up to the motor and spliced them together with Automaotive fuel line. I mounted sideways on the frame rail in fron of the motor, this kept the lines out away from the pipe or other heat sources. It works great for me. no leaks, no problems. It probably isn't as good as one made professioanly, but it was cheap. (Under $50 for the entire project)

could you maybe post a picture of this setup and how excatly you do this? I'd like to use this setup rather then buying a fst oil cooler

Ok I kinda get this now........ So I could get a 350x oil cooler, and get some hoses and clamps, and pretty much hook it up like the FST one? same idea?? because I know what you have to cut and redo for that one, I helped my friend on his.... so do I have the right idea on this? :huh
