I have AC std nerfs with proarmor fat peg extenders, stock heel gaurds untill I break down and get IMS heels. Nerfs and fatpegs was under $200 with free shipping.

You can get them for $370 + shipping from Rath Racing. They are the most well made nerfs I've seen. I will post another picture of them installed.

i got ac pro pegs, always have gone with ac and i love there stuff, alot of people complai about fit , and yea they are a snug fit but they make up for it in durability and looks, i hate the way the pro armars look flat, i like how the propegs pul;l up in the back, just my 2 cents, although ive heard nothing but good about the pro amors, i just diont like the looks

I also have the ac pro pegs with heel guards and I love them. When I first got them on, it took a little time to get used to the heelguards being so close to the pegs, but it's not that bad. Some people don't like them so close though. JMO

quad2xtreme, have you ridin with nerfs yet? Also do they seem too wide for the woods to you? I just mounted mine up and they are atleast3/4" wider on either side compared to my dg propegs. I'm concerned about wedging in between trees.

I ride the DG Fat Chrome bars. They never get in the way and were easy to mount. Not the cheapest but most definately not the most expensive.

Been doing some research on nerfs and almost bought the pro armor pro pegs until I seen the Rath nerfs. Pricey and the pegs themselves are very aggressive to say the least.

No woods riding on the 450r for me....at least yet.

I actually don't run the Rath anymore though anyhow. I have a modified set of Magnum (old DG) propegs that are really for the 400ex. They sit a full inch lower than any other propeg nerfs I've seen plus 3/4" back. The only thing I don't like about them is no heel guards. This style is designed to bolt to the frame via u-bolts but I used the Rath front engine mount setup with my Magnum setup.

I will say though for the average Joe, the Rath nerfs are built better, look better, and will hold up longer than what I have. The footpegs are extremely sharp for great grip even in the muddiest of conditions. Even I were a little shorter, I would definitely have the Raths. Even now, I am thinking about putting them back on.

I can't imagine nerf bars making a big difference in the woods unless you are in extremely tight conditions breaking new trails through the trees.
