Hi guys.
My name is Dee.
I am sure that some of you know Anthony ( Tony )
Mastrocola. He is my cousin. He is # 17.
- QuadMXRacer
He was recently in Steel City this weekend
In Pittsburgh racing in the Nationals.
He qualified Saturday to move on Sunday for the
Last day.

On Sunday, Anthony suffered a very serious ATV accident
During the race. He was life-flighted to UPMC in Pittsburgh.
He went immediate emergency surgery where they put
Metal rods and screws through his 3rd-8th vertebrate
In his back. He broke his 4th/5th/6th vertebrate.
He did amazing in the surgery. He is fine. However, the doctor
Stated that they are now considering him a paraplegic.
He has no feeling from the waist down.

However, he is extremely swollen from the medications...
And the injury to his back is hurting his spinal cord.
There is no proof right now that it is severred...
So there is hope that it is just badly bruiused and temporarily
Paralyzed right now.

I am asking all of you to please pray for him.
Please support him.
It would be so wonderful. And he is looking forward
To hearing from you guys. His family is as well.

Please...

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
We all really appreciate it.

I am pretty sure I met him at Breezewood, seemed like a decent feller. He has our full support and we wish only the best for him. Please keep us informed on his recovery!

Hey guys,
Here is an update on Anthony Mastrocola. He is still at UPMC South Side Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Center. The address is 2000 Mary Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15205. He is moved into a private room #510 and his new number is 412-586-1794. He is doing much bettter, but the rehabilitation therapy is brutal. He wants to thank everyone for their support, all the phone calls, cards, and everyone who has come to visit. It is a daily struggle, but Tony is pulling through. His injury remains severe to the spinal cord, but he is strong. The support that everyone is giving is really pulling Tony through this. Please continue to keep him in your prayers and continue to support him.

Thank you,
DEE
