I just got my stock rear shock on my YFZ 450 rebuilt by GT Thunder and also got their XC linkage. What I was wondering is if the PRM Z-plate swingarm skid will still fit because it has a built in linkage cover. Anyone running this setup?

You will have to cut out the center of your skid to clearence the linkage.

You won't necessarily have to cut the skidplate to gain clearance - what a lot of guys do is use a couple/few washers as spacers in between the swingarm and the skidplate to gain the required clearance for the linkage.

You've obviously never seen a 04/05 YFZ Skid Plate.

the mount with bolts parallel to the axle, so spacing the skid isn't possible

Indeed. I've seen them but never looked close enough to realize how the skidplates mount up. Sorry. Looks like you're going to be cutting a hole :ermm:

No cutting or spacing is necessary. This setup works great since I just ran it at the WISP GNCC race this weekend.
