View Full Version : changing back brake rotor?

i had my 400 up on the jack other day tighetning the chain and i notice how bent my rotor really was. wobbles side to side very bad, it also rubs constantly on the stock swing arm skid that is jsut because the skid itslef is bent.. im getting a new skid and im very tierd of hereing the rotor rubbing plus it cant be good to have it with it so bent.. i woudl liek to do this my self but what all is involved in chaning the rotor ? any help is greatly appreciated!

1. Remove caliper assembly. Should be two bolts.
2. Remove the three(maybe four) allen head bolt that hold the
rotor on.
3. Take right side wheel off, along with the rotor.

It's not very hard and should only take about 10 minutes.

greattt, alright thank you very much lot less complicated then i was thikning it was going to be.. is a tusk rotor ok by any chance?all thers ive seen are like 100.00 but tusk is more liek 60 i ithnk it was.. shoudl i stay awya fomr it or
