Can anybody recommend a good aftermarket pipe for a stock 89R? I spend most of my time riding trails.

Get the sparks TT or MX pipe. One of them, I forget which has a little more bottom end. But ether way you can't go wrong with ether of those pipes. Another great pipe is the LRD adjustable pipe.

ESR TRX-5 has worked great for me.

The sparks mx has more low end . I have the TT and it cooks. I would also look at the paul turner race pipe if you want low end and a major mid range pull. I had the race pipe and switched to the sparks tt. They are both great pipes but the tt has more top end.

Yea the sparks are hard to find, but they are well worth it. I think the paul turner is actualy the same as a sparks pipe, someone correct me if I'm wrong???

Thanks for all the advice guys! I've heard good things about Sparks, so I think I'm leaning that way.

Go with the Pual Turner Race Pipe.
I've tried the ESR Trx 5 and 6 as well as the fmf and the Pual Turner blows them away.

Better start leaning another way (duncan, ESR) becuase sparks DOES NOT MAKE PIPES ANYMORE! :grr:

I say LRD, it has good bottom end without a really strong "hit" into the midrange, just pulls really hard throughout. Very good for tight woods riding. I have a hard time riding tight trails with a really "pipey" motor as I tend to wheelie through turns into trees!!
