Had a little mishap a few weeks ago and winded up needing a new tie rod. Well I purchased a complete set and swapped out the old.

What is the ideal setup when adjusting tie rods on your wheeler? Are the front tires supposed to be: neutral, toed in or toed out? I read that the correct setup was to have the front tires at a slight toe in; appx 1/4 inch. (In other words the fronts of the front tires are 1/4 inch closer then the backs of the tires) I did this and went out for a few hours of riding over the weekend. I felt that at low to medium speeds the machine felt a little "darty" in the front. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

they should be toed out 1/8" to 1/4'' according to my service manual.

I must have misread the information I came across. You're right . . . 1/8 to 1/4 inch Toe Out makes much more sense. Thus the reason my machine was darting left and right when I was trying to keep straight.

Thank you for the input . . . hopefully this will make next weekend a little more enjoyable on the quad.
