brake fade?i had a problem sunday after a couple of laps i had to hit front brake hard and nothing .i just kept going ,they got very mushy?? ..a little later it was fine......i heard that brake fluid will get to hot or boil. anybody run synthentic brake fluid?

Get a pair of steel braided brake lines, that will cure a lot of it!

are you usein dot 3 or dot 4? because the higher the dot number is the higher heat it can take

Sounds like the brakes are getting hot and breaking down. Yes synthetic will help also after you get the fluid that hot it is a good idea to bleed the old fluid out and replace it.
The old fluid will break down alot faster than the new stuff.
Wouldn't hurt to do the rear brake while you are at it. It might be a good idea to evaluate your riding/braking habits.

i mainly use the front brake.. i hardly use the rear until ...oh crap i gotto stop.

i have the same problem from time to time with the front brakes...my solution will soon include....dot 5 synthetic fluid and stainless brake lines.

You have some moisture in your brake lines. Bleed the brakes with NEW dot 4 brake fluid. keep flushing until it comes out clear. DOT 4 should be able to handle any heat you build up.

yeah i was gonna say DOT5 is pretty extreme for quad use hehe.
