Will 400ex arms fit an 86R?

I'm in need of some new arms for my 86R. I was thinking about buying +2+1 but they cost to much. Looking at getting a set of 400ex arms to put on the R. Has anyone done this? To me the 400ex arms look a little bit longer than the R.

The point at were the R arms bolt to the frame is bigger then on the EX. IF you custom made some stuff you could make spacers to fit. Being you are getting new arms I would just look on ebay for a set. They have had lots on latly.
