I am thinking about ordering a tusk clutch kit, has anyone heard about them. Also has anyone ever had one before.

Regarding clutches, when in doubt go with OEM. They are generally the best and worth any premium you may pay.

stock is the best

What ever you do make sure to get the heavy springs for it. It might be a little harder to pull the clutch lever in but it is worth it.

Are the EBC clutch kits any good? I was going to order a Tusk but they are cheap and probably do suck.

My EBC brake pads are holding up very well. Wonder if their clutches are equal quality?

Yes, EBC cluch kits work great on my "old" 460 Banshee.

I have heard the same. Alot of people have every bit as good of luck, some better, with stock clutches as compared to aftermarket. JMO.

i have heard good things about tusk but i have never tryed one. i would just use stock and buy the tusk or EBC HD springs.

I ended up ordering a EBC kit from a local shop. 73$ for the clutch, plates, and HD springs.

Will have to be an improvement over my slipping stock clutch lol.

no, for the price i would consider trying a tusk if i was on a budget. OEM is what i prefer, unless you gotwith a sparks or gt thunder 8 plate setup.

no, if u do a re-build and bore it out, i would recommend going with a hinson setup( inner hub, pressure plate, ect...). they are pretty pricy, but u'll prolly never have to re-do ur clutch system again.

SO i wouldn't hurt anything? It will probably just make my clutch go out faster, right? thanks

install stiffer springs. that will help alot. and don't slip the clutch alot. u should be fine that way. i rode my 300ex hard for a year and never slipped the clutch. i never needed to replacr the clutch components and i only adjusted it once. slipping the clutch will make it wear out much faster

I just got my EBC clutch kit in today. A lot more to it than I expected. I am going to install it Sunday evening.

It went fine. Install is very easy. I was kinda baffled about the setup tho. Clutch setup on motorcycles is odd. I don't claim to understand how it all works but it does lol.
