what do you guys think about the triple rate conversions for stock 450R shocks? ive been looking into them and ive heard some good and some bad about them. They seem to be a good cheaper alternative to aftermarket shocks but how do you guys think they will hold up racing MX on +2 a arms? also if any one has them can you post a pic and whomever did this for you? thanks im very interested in this set up but dont know that much about it yet

wow thanks for the quick replys, and thanks forthose pictures. the works kit was the exact one i was looking into, they want 230 for the springs and hardware, so you used that spring kit and just kept the stock valving? they look very nice in the pictures and i think im goign to have to go for it then.

I wouldn't bother with the works, because of the valving. Why bother putting on springs if you dont have them valved to match. I run the C&D rebuild using the TCS triple rate conversion and I love it.

I agree, I have the GT Thunder rebuilt rear with the linkage. Once you get them dialed in, they work awesome. The GT rear feels just as plush and works just as good as my C&D fronts. I wont ever bother with any aftermarket shocks again (unless I switch to long travel)

I just got my stockers back from Derisi...and Santo is a shock genius....I pulled them out of the box and bolted them up and they work very well...if I mess with them and get them dialed in they should be even better......I'm using Santo's rear Link and there is no more buck......not to mention a much lower ride height......I'll get my buddy to post some pics he took of his complete stock 06 sitting beside my 06.....Look into Derisi...he is also cheaper then GT Thunder....

here are the pics lonestar was talking about...my r is the one without the bumper. mine seems so much taller than his now.

they are almost set up exactly the same. both 2006 450rs, but mine is on the stock suspension as it came from the factory, his is on the stock suspension after derisi worked his magic. i can guarantee derisi will be getting my shocks in the fall

I have my rear shock revalved by GT Thunder with the MX link and my fronts revalved by Fast Mann Racing with the Works triple rate springs. The combo dropped my ride height by quite a bit. They also perform very well.
