Drag results, shee vs 450s vs raptor

Well today i had some pleasure of doing some drag races, the 04 shee, 02 rappy, and 06 yfz450 were bone stock and the 05 450r had a pipe and filter... the drags where about 1000 ft,,,the sum of the races are


First race: 450r vs rappy
450r beats rappy by about 3 quad lengths

450r vs yfz450
yfz won by about 3 quad lengths

banshee vs rappy
too close to call, (side by side)

banshee vs 450r
450r won by about 3 lengths

banshee vs yfz450
yfz450 by about 5 lengths

we also did some top speed runs, rappy, banshee, and 450r pretty close to each other while the yfz edges all of them out..

last thing is everyone is good riders with execption of the yfz he wasnt as good going through the gears

so my thoughts are the yfz is the fastest quad u can buy right now thats bone stock

I thought that the HONDA 450R is the fastest quad you can get bone stock:ermm:

i did too until i saw it with my own eyes, and for everyone else, my buddy on the 450r is atleast a 10x better rider than my buddy on the yfz,

and also im not buyiest either on die hard honda or yamaha

I told everyone in past posts that my bros yfz killed his friends 450r and they are pretty equal but no one would believe me... freakin losers!

Did you also notice that you are comparing an 05 450r to an 06 YFZ. There is a huge difference between the two years. My stock 06 450r was beating my piped, cammed, filtered, and rev box equiped 05... I have no doubt a YFZ (Which runs close) could do the same. With the HRC kit on my 06, I am beating the 05 by about 7 bikes. There IS a big difference.

That doesn't mean anything. You are still comparing an 05 to an 06, and there is a huge difference... the 05 and 06 450rs are hardly the same bike at all.

This is from my last post: My stock 06 450r was beating my piped, cammed, filtered, and rev box equiped 05. Yes, the 05 had modifications, but that doesn't mean squat lining up to a superior bike.

06 450rs are a totally different machine that the previous years

these threads are silly...first off i doubt they are real results, i doubt it was at a drag strip (where all quads get about perfect traction) and the 450R had a pipe and it would go on an on, then u figure the weight of riders and blah blah blah...who cares, all those quads you listed are great, just ride them and have fun

the races were on pavement and all of the riders but me on the banshee were about the same weight, about 190lbs while im taller and weight about 220lbs

I wasnt j/k ... but the yfz is still a superior speed bike.. its made to ripp... its not as reliable as the 450r but it sure is a speed demon

Well, you guys can go on forever about traction, weight, rider skills,and how pointless drags are, but those results (In my opinion) sound pretty accurate.

Even if they aren't always very accurate, who doesn't enjoy a little dragin?:devil:
