16t front sprocket

anyone run a 16t front sprocket and does it kill bottom end power too much?

my friend has it on his stock 400ex and when mine was stock i completly killed him out of the start. he got me on top end. i don't rec this for racing or trail riding but if ur wide open then its good. if u doin trails and racing go to a 14t. his was renthal. my bud took his off after the first 3 weeks and went back to a 15t.
