Cut Down Seat

I was just wondering if i cut my seat down on my R do you think it will help me or not. im 5.11 170lbs cr bend handlebars what ya think

I run 86-87 250R seat foam on 89 seat pans and cut the rear rubber seat grommets down to about 1/4 inch to get a lower ride hight. The stock Honda 86-87 seat foam is a lot lower than the 88-89 foam.
