Rath racing picked Cody up as a sponsored rider....

That in itself was awesome, and they quickly sent out some insane nerf bars for his 90. The bad part is they are weld on and wouldnt you know I just coated the frame:p

So...delemia time. I am getting ready to run to breezewood to get parts out of our trailer, and when I return I will either screw the pc and weld them on...or should I just run his bolt on nerfs until I can prep another frame:confused: I really hate to botch the coating, but I feel I should to get onboard with his newest sponsor. I can touch up the weld areas with black paint and I doubt many would catch it. What ya think:confused:

BTW...I think his quad has a bit of attitude now:cool:

first off congrats to cody!! i say put them on...it would show your thankful for having them as a sponsor and appreciate the parts and make good use of them. plus when you get some spare time you can repowdercoat it. it will also give you some test time on them and if any changes need to be made you can do so without ruining the even newer powdercoat.

That's awesome! Ahh botch the frame, just think of it as some battle wounds. :)

I think you should just weld them on and touch up the affected areas like you said. You of all people could disguise it fine and i'm sure you'd have to point it out for anybody to catch it.

if it was me i'd just try to take as little off and weld it and cover it up until later, but i know i'm alil diff and dont mind if my stuff is alil off.. but also pappy i think it would set that thing off if u cut the rear fenders also to match up with teh bike more, i was playing around and lined them out kinda like 250r style kind haha;)

just weld em on. I think the quad will be ok a day or two, maybe a week without out PC lol.

Weld them on. It ain't how it looks, it's how it runs. And we all knows it's a runner. Congrats to your boy. It's good to hear that someone got a sponsor who deserves it. He never fails to impress me when I look at the pics you post of him. He will be a force to be reckoned with....if he isn't already. :)

Im getting ready to head out in the shop to see what I can do.

And I agree about the rear fenders, but I cant do anything until I get the nerfs on and see how everything comes together

welp...the nerf issue solved itself. in order to run them i have to redesign his brake lever so that kind of ended it for being done tonight.

i did cut his rear fenders and i will get some action shots tomorrow.

i am impressed by these nerfs, they look like they belong on a full size quad as far as construction and detail...glad to see someone making parts for kids that appear to be well built !
