can you put a 400ex axle on a 250r and or vis versa? and whats the size difference if any... like would a 250r axle that was +4 be bigger than a 400ex axle that is +4? thanks for any help

I'm almost sure they are compatable. Not sure about the widths though.

Not positive but I belive the hub splines are different, if that's the case you'll need to use hubs made for the axle. I don't know about the widths either.

Ok they are interchangable, however if you use the 250R axle you need to use the 250R hubs. The 250R axle is wider, but the hubs are narrower. The 400 axle is narrower but the hubs are wider. I believe the splines are the same however.
