Rotor flange differences

I just got a new take-off rotor flange to replace my badly beat up one but they are different. Mine is off an '05, is the nearly new one from an '06? It looks like it will still work fine, I'm just wondering.

if its the same height as the old one it should work, that colar piece touches the bearing in the carrier and if the new one is longer then the rotor would stick out farther and would probably not work, if its the same height then i dont see a problem with just a longer flat colar before it goes out

It's the same length and size all the way around except the seal surface is longer. Shouldn't be a problem I don't think, just not sure why it wasn't the same.
