Trans Breather Tube is jabbing air filter

The trans breather tube in my air box really presses against my air filter. Is this how is it supoed to be and can I do something about it ?

thats how mine is. i think its so the breather line has a sort of filter aspect to it.

Yep its normal, on my 05 it smashes the foam of the filter all the way to the metal insert inside the filter.

Its so the trans breather line is filtered.

So can I get rid off it? Maybe cut the line and use a K&N crankcase breather on it or something ?

Why would you want to get rid of it? Thats the way its suposed to be.

On the 06 it's just a hose going through a fitting. I don't know if it's the same on the older models or not. I just slid pushed it back through the fitting a little more. You still want it pressed against the filter some though.
