heres a hint, its reverse thread, you were probably turnin it the wrong way.. it takes a little elbow grease, but it comes off.

i used a couple of 24" crescent wrenches and they weren't too bad. You also might want a friend to keep the axle from spinning while you wrestle with them, I did.

Good size pipe wrench worked well. You will probably mess up the nut unless you are very carful, but the aftermarket ones are alot better than stock. I have the mesz moto nut. His address and phone are on the links page.

Good Luck!

well i went to the dealer today and he told me it wasnt reversed, he said to turn the skinny big nut clockwise alll the way to the left, then take the other and do same, then there wil be a little clip reveald wich u will have to remove. HE says then the whole nut will slide right off.

Well the three biggest buddies i got (my dad)
i got 2 big pipe wrenches linked by a pipe( wont budge)
and i have a torch to maybe help a lil(it didnt)

the nut is in bad shape by now and i used an extension o block the axle by jamming it ontop of the swingarmone end in the disc rotor and the other in the sprocket.

NOTHING IS WORKING AND I AM pissed OFF:mad:

he told you wrong. unless you've got a setup different than everyone else, you need to turn that nut counter-clockwise to loosen it, in other words, if you are behind the quad facing the nut, you will need to turn the nut down to loosen it (nut goes toward the brake rotor, then you can remove the clip, then slide off the nut.

well, the dealer was wrong, i got it on. We called a family meeting and drew out the plan. my sister would sit on the quad holding the brake. my mom would stand on the bumber to keep the front wheels from coming up(im serious) and me(140) and my dad(270) would literaly jump on it!!! and it got loose. so i completed the axle change and will have pics soon.

so in the past 3 days my mod list went up with

Rear turf tamers 18" on douglas red label
front mx shots 19" on douglas red label
16th front sprocket
Ls Racing Axcalibur +4 axle
"Almost Chrome" Powdercoated steering stem
"Mirror Black" " shifter and brake pedal

pretty nice if u ask me
