i'm working on a buddies honda 350 rancher.
the bike will start and idle sometimes but only if the choke is on.
if you turn off the choke it will die, and if you give it any throttle it will die.
i already removed the carb and cleaned it. it was full of crud, varnish , stail fuel.
i would appretiate any help

Sounds like it's still dirty. Did you use carb cleaner and compressed air?? The pilot circuit especially has some very small passages that can be tough to clean on a really gunked up carb.

Dieing as soon as the choke is turned off is a tell-tail sign of a clogged pilot circuit.
