my dad wanted to get that or the nikon coolpix 8700

he got the nikon because of the mega pixels...8.0

i got the old version of that, i have the 5.1 h1, its a good camera to learn with, it had all the manual settings like a slr, but now i wish i bought a d50 for 100 bucks more. it does take very nice pictures though, and the 12x zoom really does kick ***

oh yeah a one gig card will probaly never be filled up unless u take literally 1000 pictures

here are some pics from my h1 (im not pro so bare with me)

dont mind my crooked tripod either!

It's not the camera it's the mode you have it set on. Change the setting to action and the shutter speed will be alot faster. haha.

its a hp photosmart r717 It should have a dial on the top with different modes on it. Portrait, landscape, action, cinema, ect. The action setting, the highest shutter speed, should have a picture of a guy running or something.

Also, try letting your camera adjust before you take the picture. Most cameras will focus and set the aperature and shutter speed if you hold the button down about half way. then when your subject comes into the frame just push it down all the way and you will get a nice shot.

Just make sure that when u hold the button down focus on something similar to what you are shooting so the settings are still good.

The reason for the delay is that it adjusts all the settings when u press the button.

This picture is not the best but it shows i didnt have any trouble timing chris borich coming through a turn with a relatively old camera

Those pics are not photoshopped at all. I like my Sony cameras so I see no reason to change. The more I use it, the more I learn about it.
