razr question

what is the difference between the razr, razr2, and razr mx tires??? wich would be the best for my riding conditions wich are mainly orchards and trails??? post pics of them 2, thanks

The plain Razars are for mainly all conditions. They work well in just about anything.

The Razar Mx are for Mx racing. They are a softer compound which works better on Mx tracks but they would wear very quickly if used for normal riding.

The Razar 2s' are for Xc racing. They are a harder compound rubber which does not puncture as easy and they are also heavier. They don't wear very much and are very solid compared to teh Razars and the Razar Mx


If i were you i would eitehr get the Normal Razars or the Razar 2s'
If you jump the Plain Razars will be better because they are lighter. If you ridin in alot of places that punctures are common then teh Razar 2s are better for you.

I would stay away from the Razar Mxs' becasue unless you are racing Mx they will just wear to fast. Buying these for your conditions would be like:

Taking your money and wiping a cows ***** with it then giving it to a Chipmunk for a house.

Are u sure razr mxs are made of a softer compound? Didnt doesnt say anything about that on there web site. They just got a differnt tread pattern

i read about them in a magazine, and it didnt say anything about the tread being softer!!!

normal razrs and razr mx's are made of the same compound i believe which is still very soft and wear quickly. i heard that the razr2 is built for mx not for gncc and they have a stiffer compound so they wear better. get razr 2s their a newer and updated version of that tire it will be better.

Razr MX tires are 2-ply tires. Standard Razr's come in either a 4 or 6 ply rating, so they will last longer & be less prone to punctures. They all look the same I think. The new Razr 2 is a 6 ply tire designed to compete w/ the Holeshot xcr. It is lighter than a standard 6 ply tire, but heavier than a standard 4 ply tire, and it is designed for woods/GNCC-type racing.

I have races and they are alot better tan stock for cornering, but they hook up about the same.

I got razrs tires and i dont think they were out that fast. I have been riding on them amost every day except in the winter for a year. They still have about %70 tread on them. My freind has had shredders for about 6 months and there bald.

thanks for the input, my friend just got shredders on his warrior, and i was gonna get them, then i relized they felt really soft, and would probably wear out fast

As long as you stay off the road the Razr should last a while. Mine are down to bout 85% b/c my sisters have been ridin the shibby outta em on the road. On the other hand...Castor-400ex has Shredders and has had them a long time (over a year) and are still in great shape but they are 6-ply if that makes any difference. :cool:

Im going with razr 2's when i get mine , just because i dont do alot of jumping, so i dont need them to be light, just need some tires that will last for a while

i love my razrs i jump a lot and they arent that heavy they hook up great and have about 90% tread left i bout them 6 months ago

okay, what about the razr mx fronts, will they were out fast or not? i herd they were made from the same rubber compound as the regular razrs!!!
