Is there any way I can relocate my switches somewhere else besides the handlebars on a honda quad? It looks to me like the metal piece inside the box grounds the switches to the handlebars or something.

I want to eliminate the use of the black plastic box to clean up the handlebar area, and because my switch box is fading and has a crack (it has bothered me ever since I got the quad, because it is pretty much the only imperfection.)

I'd like to turn the killswitch into a button and mount the headlight controls underneath the plastic, maybe above the carb, where I can access them easily.

Does anybody have pics, or advice if they have done something similar?

You can replace the factory on off switch with a teather kill switch. As for the lights, you should probably be able to wire in a 3 way switch into the lights some how, and mount the switch under the plastics or somewhere.

you also can use a cr kill switch as the kill button and a yz kill switch as the start button, the factory cluster might be able to fit around the frame rails.

search usually helps on this topic but this is what i did:
kx killswitch and prodesign tether. also used a 3 way toggle for lights high/low/off.

Im wondering how you did that.. I want to know, because I just recently rolled my 400EX. So I have a chance to buy new parts and put them on.
