hey i have 400ex whit HFM slip only olso jet kit n k & N fielter i was thinking of doing some thing to my motor like a 426 kit or a 440 kit but i dont know what is the best to install whitout doing any damages to my motors how hard is to install

neither will hurt your motor if done correctly.

have you ever put in a piston? if not take it and get it professionally done, and atleast then you know its done right.

While boring the motor will increase power, it will be minimal if it is done alone. You might want to consider a cam to compament the bore, and may having your slip-on converted to a full system. With these mods you will start to get some real power.

also id suggest going with a high compression piston, that will also give you more power through the entire power band

You will need to get a new sleeve pressed in and bored for the 440 kit. I just had mine done with the 440 and a full system, huge power increase. Its worth it to be able to keep up with the new quads.

That depends on his use of the bike. Anything greater than 11:1 will require the use of race gas. Also, the higher the compression, the more stress is placed on the motor.
