05r beats 06yfz with gytr

two weeks ago i drag raced an 06 stock yfz with my stock 450r break in times were about the same and my r pulled the yfz in every gear a week ago with my r gearded down to a 13 tooth sproket beat the yfz 4 times by a quad length or more each time the yfz had a gytr pipe and razr2 tires this time i thought the 05 yfzs were beating the hondas are the 06s slower or what

You are probably a better rider then the person you were drag racing.

RAZR2's will slow the YFZ down a tad.

my stock 06 yfz can pull two bike lengths on any of the new 450's out. i was even beating piped 450r's that were 06's

and my buddy has a 06 yfz with an nmotion pipe and FCI intake i got on his and he got on my stock and he still beat me.

i smoke the 250exs all day long, and occasionally a 300ex, but those blasters- man are they fast!!!

lol... no, if my bike ever lost to a blaster, or 250ex or 300 ex, i would get up off my bike, walk back to wherever my truck was parked, and drive away from the sport forever...

i might just open up my gas tank and toss a match in there before i walk off though... get one last thrill...

ps... i am my own mechanic... i dont like having it stuck to me, dry or lubed for that matter... :devil:

just somn about paying people to do crappy work... it doesnt go over too well with me... went through and adjusted the valves on a raptor 660 this afternoon... i loved how the dealership that serviced it before forgot to put an o-ring on one of the valve covers...

Can I have your 250r if I beat you with a blaster? I might just have to go to the barn and find the hidin blaster and race for titles. Its not exactly stock. Its a piece thats why its not in the sig. Could be fast though.

yah bring it on... as long as it is a blaster engine... i dont care if its moddified, just as long as its not some other engine in a hacked up blaster frame...

i'd be really curious to know if a blaster with lets say a 240 kit and NOS would beat my bike...

A well built 240 by ct or lrd will be putting around 35-37 hp to the rear wheels. Thats assuming that it is jetted correctly and has an aftermarket carb. Blasters are very capable bikes it just takes a lot of money to make them fast. A well biult 265 by duncan should be smoking a blaster though, but if the rider is really good i can see it happening in the woods or track as long as the blaster is set up correctly. It would take a nice 240 cylinder with some kind of stroker set up to beat your bike.

i personally think it would take more than just a stroker kit and a well set up 240... anywho... this is kind of pointless, but...

Well It was never finished nor right from the start we were 16 and trying to make a bad ***** quad. It has a 400cc 2 stroke dirt bike motor from like the 70s in it. I think a DT400 or something like that, The bike was fast at the time. We were punk kids trying to kill are selves lol. I don't even know were the quad is i think its in my barn.
