Mothers makes a product called BACK TO BLACK and it makes the bike shine and it is not an oil,so it does not atract the dust like wd 40 :D

Looks nice, WD-40 always works nice for shining up the plastics.

The nice thing about WD-40 is that dust/mud is going to get on your fenders anyway and with the WD-40 it slides right off with a hose.

ya wd does bring back the shine some. I always wipe mine down before riding especially if Im gonna be riding somewhere muddy. it doesnt cake on as much and its really easy to wash off at the end of the day.

just make sure you keep it away fom the brakes. my freind get it on right front brake and the first corner of his first practice lap it set him over the berm and into the fencing. cost him $30 for the new pads plus $130 for a new bumper.

After every wash I go for a quick spin to get most of the water off and then WD40 EVERYTHING aside from the brakes and lamp lenses. In addition to a nice shine it displaces the moisture so things won't corrode.

i ususally let the wd 40 sit for a day or 2 after i spray it (if you let it sit long enough it will become hazy)

once it gets hazy then i towel it off, ends up working out real well,

i have noticed if i towel it off in to short of a time, it will leave some dry spots

spray with wd40, then put in sun and cook at 90 degrees for 1/2 hour. then wipe with paper towels....works good, but can ruin your graphics a little, since it removes the glue

also, pledge furniture polish works really good on the plastics. alot of dealerships use it on all the streetbikes, atvs, mx bikes.

Didn't know that, that's a good bit of information. I'll have to pick some of that up sometime and give it a try.

Nice avatar too, did you get that off of a Doom site or something?

Oh, it's one of the monsters off of the DOOM games. I figured you were a DOOM fanatic like me  .

Any type of oily chemical is going to help keeping the mud from sticking to your fenders.

Looks good and apparently you all have a specific purpose in mind (water displacement, mud etc.). Plexus also works real well on plastics and it wont bother your graphics. The only thing is it doesnt do anything for moisture. I use it on my bike and my wheeler. You can get it at any bike dealership and its GREAT for goggles and light lenses.
