trade in or sell???

i am getting back into dirtbikes and wonder if it would be better to just trade my 400 in to the dealer for a bike? Has anyone done it and got a decent amount for their trade in? I know i can get more by selling but i am kinda in a hurry to get another bike. any opinions would be apperciated.:D

the best way to do it is...

go to the dealer with ur quad and check for yourself. they might do a straight trade for a yz125 or something

i dont know what kind of bike ur interested in but i saw a left over ttr230 for $2499...lol thats cheap as hell...im sure they would trade it in for that and they'd give u cash on top

if it was like a yz250f im sure u would have to add a little cash

yeah i want a 250f and i plan on adding a little cash i just wonder if i could get more for my quad if i sell it to a person and not the dealer.

any 250 fourstroke will be in the 6k range for the '06. you'll get maybe 3 for your 400ex on trade in.

yeah i think i am going to look for a used one at the dealer or maybe a left over 05 or even an 04 and try to make it so i have to pay between $1000-1500 with the quad.
