Does anyone know how to check the clearances on the exhaust side? The intake side was easy, but now i'm stumped. A nice walkthrough from one of the experts on the site would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

yep sorry, i was referring to the intake sides. the exhaust side is simple. you stock the feeler guage in between the rocker arm and the shim for both exhaust valves. :)

I think you're thinking about the intake valves. They're opened directly by the cam. I'm having trouble with the ones that are opened by the rocker arm.
the exhaust side is the easier side to check and to change shims. just slide the feeler gauge under the rocker arm tip, and on top of the shim in a horizontal postion try to be even with it. and thats it?

Its easier if you put a little bend in you feeler guage, gives you a better feel
