the TC shorty i beleive is the best at achieving low-mid range power since it shortens the head pipe. the shorter the head pipe and stuff it is the more torque ull have that equals low-end power. the TC's are very loud just so u know and ill post a pic of it for you

they are also a reverse megaphone so you should get more top end gains.

If I am not mistaken they are THE loudest pipe available for the 400ex. They will give you low-mid range power.

I love my tc. They are awesome. I do have to say though most of the gain is bottom end and into the mid. If you can handle the noise then get a tc.

Just out of curiosity what jetting are you guys running in your tc. I am stock motor with air box lid off. Anyone running about this. I would be curious to know where you are all at on a stock carb. Let me know what pilot and main if you can. Thanks. This will help the originator of this too if he gets one.

do u think its worth to get one if i can stand the noise ,i wont have a problem but the people around my house and my fellow ridin buddies will have head aches but o well  because 350 bucks for a slip on is alot and a could get a yoshi pipe for about the same and there nice, i have heard, and they arent as loud and how loud r we talkin??? cause i have riden around and had myself some pretty loud exhausts DG, HMF, FMF...... so how loud is loud?

tc pipes are not slip ons. You have to cut your stock head pipe 5 1/2 inches because that is where the cone comes in at. It uses the stock header to make its own full system that produces max bottom end. As far as being loud if you race or ride in any restricted area it will not pass the decibel limit. I am waiting to get nailed at one of my races. I have heard they are around 110 or up decibels but that is just hear say.
