hey guys im looking at getting a exhaust system for my 2002 400ex here in a few days. ive really been looking at yoshimura and the white brothers e-series. The prices of the pipes are within 20 bucks of each other so price isnt a factor. i want a pipe that is both kinda loud and can be quiet. the quiet core would be purchased for the yoshi and the e-series u can remove discs. ive heard both on the ex and both sound good. ive only heard the yoshi with the quiet core. How loud is it without the core? is it hmf loud or no. overall im looking for a good woods/play exhaust. i dont race and i want to boost my power for sliding, hill climbs, wheelies, and blowing donuts. i also want somethign that looks and sounds good. please let me know what exhaust u guys think would be best for what i do. sorry for the long post but thanks

the yosh system makes 6.5 more horses. I've been told they also produce awesome torque. Been looking into one myself. Not sure how true all this is. I can tell u that the yosh will give you alot more than the white bros. Also, if the white bros is the pro-meg, then you'll only get mid and top end gains.

yea its the pro meg, so u think ill be better off with the yosh then thats what i was thinking what about a full hmf system which between the yosh and hmf will give more low-mid power?

oh well i just ordered a full yoshimura system with a k&n filter + outerwear, k&n jet kit, the quiet core for the yoshi pipe, and a new chain and stock sprocket and a 16 tooth front sprocket

Let me know how the thing works and if the quiet core is effective. I've been looking into one myself.

My big gun on my 400 gave all low and mid increases. It was a very noticeable increase in power.

get a rev box next for ur 400ex, that will broaden the power out through ur rpms so u don't hit the rev so fast with the pipe

whats the cheapest rev box that doesnt effect the starting capabilities

just get the best from the git-go and be problem free

gt thunder

also, you probably aren't making any power past your stock rev limiter so i would invest that money elsewhere. just my opinion.

Yeah, a rev box would be a total waste until you have a seriously dun-up motor.

Unless you get a rev box that alters your ignition mapping. Then it will make a difference.

yes you should notice an increase in bottom and mid power.
