for a while now our f-150 just couldnt get enough smoke to pull the jet-ski's and quads so we went looking for a new one.

we looked at just about every lot in the area and found this leftover 05. never been titled. its got the 5.4 triton V8 in it which is a lot better than the old V6 we had.

nice truck! my 03 has the triton 5.4 and it's actually not a bad towing truck. Although i need breaks really bad i didnt notice a real big difference towing a 10x6 trailor with a rhino and quad on it.

Nice truck I have an 05 FX4 also. If your father has a vibe issue when driving on the highway, have him take it back and tell them to switch those crappy general tires. They are having alot of problems with those tires, mostly they are out of round and causing a vibe problem on the highway. Also if he puts a cold air intake on the truck he might throw a cel light just because these trucks run lean from the factory and that would lean it alittle to much without a tune.

15-17 mpg depending on your foot. i have a 04 regular cab long bed xlt 4x4 with the 5.4.

and get rid of those tires before they blow on you.

we didnt look at that truck specifically

but for along time we were looking at brand new 1/2 ton 4 doors 4x4
-fords
-chevys
-dodges

and most of them were around 18-20 highway

If it's new you goona get some bad milage for a little while. Once you get some miles on it it will do better but as everyone said already it depends on your foot. I'm getting around 15-18mpg and that's with 50-50 city and highway driving. Not to bad, but the truck can really pull a load.
