does any one know hot to groove a tire,

i have duro fron tires, that i use for most of my riding, xc and sand, the print is too close and not that spaced, in the middle of the tire, the shape is like a triangle facing foward and then on, so i want to reshape the tire and widden the spaces.

any suggestions on how to?

You need something similar to this:

But, for what you're looking for, I'd just bite the bullet and get a set of Maxxis Razr2 front's. ;)

I would buy a set of xc tires and not mess up those tires, you will never get those any good for xc use. If you do groove those, they will be just like grooved radials, great for hard pack and dry stuff, but not so good for mud. For any xc use those tires will cake up with mud so bad and they probably don't have the thread depth that xc tires have either.
