you may think this is a dumb question, but i just picked up a 2001 400ex last night and the guy that i got it off could start it up fine, but i seem to be flooding it, is there a trick to them like hold throttle wide open or no throttle, choke no choke, im not to sure any help would be great and also what type of plugs do these run

no throttle, and choke on until it fires then right off is how i start my wifes

Pump throttle twice.. NO choke.. If I use the choke it will flood out every time so I removed it..
