How can I change the color of my headlight?

I'd like to make the lens on the R red, but I don't know what to use. I was originally looking at colored bulbs, but they only make them in yellow, green, blue and purple. No red...

I've seen people that tint lenses before, what do they use? I already tried coloring the actual bulb with a marker.:rolleyes: It lasted longer than I expected, but it burnt off eventually to a nasty pinkish yellow.

You can use this stuff. It's called ClearGuard. It's about $30 I think though.

To me, that sort of looks like regular window tint. Wouldn't it just burn off? My lens gets pretty hot. And, they don't make it for a 250R. Are 300EX or Mojave headlight dimensions similar to a 250R?

It seems pretty thick. I haven't put mine on my Z400 yet, but I have it here. Everyone I know that has it says it's great stuff. It should be for the price, lol. It's pretty flexible and to me seems kinda rubbery. They even give you a little tool to smooth it out.

my friends painted theirs that go in their trucks, just put a simple coat on it and it should burn light through, they never had problems
