i think someone should start a atv versus dirtbike class and if someone has then nvm but i think it would gain us some respect from the dirtbikers and show them where serios also wouldnt that be cool to see gust and carmicheal duking it out or whoever your favorite racers are

maybe limit the dirtbikes a bit to keep it even because they have more power and less weight

anyone else like this idea

then nationals could be incorparated into one huge event and mabye we could convert some bikers to the 4 wheel side

This is a good idea. If you look at the numbers there are just as many atvers as dirtbikers. They should run the 125 bikes against they 450 quads.

That would be sic. 250-4-strokes vs the 450 atvs

i think we need to contact some promotors and get this going huh

maybe a big exhibition with some top riders first to show what the class could be potentially

the dirtbikes would obviously win at the tracks i race at because half of them are more dirtbike friendly.. half the doubles are right out of the turns

i think you would be surprised im not a great atv rider but i was racing 2 pros at a local track and yes they had me on the straights and some of the jumps but i smoked them in corners i can carry tons more speed than a dirtbike plus with the extra weight i get better traction on slippery stuff

yep i think you can take those double yeah you may not be able to pop out of the corner like a dirt bike but you should be able to carry more speed through then you should have close to the same exit speed

Rail the top of the berms and you will have plenty of speed.

We practice with the bikes all the time - there are days when I don't get passed by a single bike.........and others when it's only one or two Pro's that manage to get by.....so I think a bike/atv class would be awesome!!!

sure it would be fun but as soon as somebody bumps a biker it would go all wrong. it would be way to dangerous for the bikers so i dont think it would ever happen. but i have to admit that i love being able to beat most of the local bikers on the track during practice.

hey racing is dangerous and people understand that of course there should be lessbikeas on the track if there is this class that would give more room

maybe 4 atvs and 6 bikes

i dont know

i mean we all practice together and ive never had a prob

Yeah, I can see that - the bikes get a little pissy as it is when they realize the quads are just as fast - all it would take is a little roost and they would probably say it was too dangerous to continue the race....lol!! J/K - but the bike guys are pretty sensitive to the quads.....and yeah, I can see how it's a little unfair in that we have quite the size/weight advantage in the event we tangle up a little.....safety would definately be an issue.
