Looking to buy another jug, but had a question.

I am talking to a guy on the web and he said he has a jug that is ported and polished for an '88 250r, which I have also. Only thing is how it is ported and polished. This is what he said,

The transfer ports just coming into the intake were blocked off by an epoxy of some sort and the exhaust ports were cut extra high.
What does this do to the motor? Good/bad Why?
Need some help?

Just my .02 cents here I know I have seen this epoxy used alot. I have always been sceptical what if it came loose. I would stay away from it. but any others have some input I would like to read what else is said?

i personally would like to see a pic(both sides) of the boost ports epoxied. :)
