Alright, I can get a sparks x-6 for around $400. Should I get an hmf or sparks. I want more off the bottom and through the midrange. I woulgn't mind more on top, but as long as I don't have to sacrifce any bottom. Also, where can I get an
HMF for cheaps--besides e-bay-- and can I quiet either of these exhausts down to 96 dec. or less?

Depends on the generation of the X-6. Then newer sparks pipes have a quiet core insert availiable. The older ones did not. (The old diffuser disk style could use a supertrapp quiet core).

in our testing the sparks made a little bit more high rpm power which is nice for dragging. if i had to guess the HMF made a little more low end power.

i don't think there is a pipe out there that is going to give u low, mid, top.i think that would be a (dream)pipe.
both sparks and hmf are very good pipes.call hmf and talk to tech support for a dyno results.they told me mind for my 450r before i bought a hmf full system.i love my hmf full system.this is my opinion.
